The Amiga PiStorm Review - (And it's not $11) - Episode 97

This week on 10 Minute Amiga Retro Cast I am reviewing the new PiStorm open source accelerator for our A1000/A500/A2000 Amigas. Is this the Golden Goose we have been waiting for, or a big old Goose egg? Spoilers: It is somewhere in between... Join me as I talk about what's involved in setting this complicated beast up, and as I explore why it does not quite act like you think it might.

**Addendum: The CHIP RAM Speed issue looks like it was associated with a commodity loaded by Best WB - Working with one of the Devs, we came up with a few ideas, mostly related to mouse driver / middle mouse wheel driver problems. I disabled all my commodities to be thorough, and the CHIP RAM access sped up and is now only about 10% slower than normal instead of 30%. I re-enabled the commodities... And cannot recreate the problem I have been having for a week. Silly Computers... Check out the Github here for the PiStorm: How about joining the Discord Server? Meet me on the Socials!

Amiga HAM 6 & OCS/ECS Graphics Tutorial featuring Image FX

This week on 10 Minute Amiga Retro Cast I am experimenting with some new photos of beautiful roses that I took on a trip to a Tucson Rose Garden with my wife. These photos are getting the HAM6 treatment and we will be learning to use ImageFX to manipulate and create fantastic HAM6 and other format images.

The system is my original Amiga 500 from 1988, fit into my Checkmate 1500+ Case from Stephen Jones, and using the Vampire V2 from Apollo. Video capture from the Amiga's RGB is helped with the new RGBtoHDMI from C0pperdragon and Retro Rewind. Stephen Jones still has a few cases left! Buy one today! Need a Vampire for your system? Check out all of Pixel Vixens videos! especially her HAM6 video. How about Jojo073's artwork? Pretty sweet stuff! Speaking of Amiga Artwork... all these HAM6 photos will be available on: Check me out on all the Socials:
